How to Get a Body for Life
First published in 1999 and a New York Times #1 bestseller, Body for Life is a timeless book on how to build a great looking body while improving both cardiovascular fitness and muscular strength.  Written by Bill Phillips, founder of Muscle Media® magazine and creator of EAS® (Experimental and Applied Sciences), Body for Life separates myth from fact when it comes to exercise and nutrition.  One myth is that muscles grow while working out.  NOT TRUE.  Muscles grow when at rest and recovering from a workout. Many more myths are debunked in the book.
Body for Life is just as much a motivational book as it is a book on fitness inspiring the reader to turn thoughts into action to build that body always wanted.
Body for Life introduces the High-Point Techniqueâ„¢ which is based on the reality that muscle growth occurs fast or not at all. Â So the key is to make your workouts relatively short but intense reaching your “high point” during each workout and raising the bar each week constantly reaching a higher and higher point.
The book provides “Daily Progress Reports” for eating and training that enable the individual to chart and monitor his progress. Â The book shares many success stories of individuals who have change their lives following the Body for Life Program.Â
Various exercises are demonstrated through the many photographs contained within the book.  Body for Life also has a chapter dedicated to nutrition providing a list and discussion of authorized foods.
Overall Body for Life is an excellent book for the exercise novice as well as the experienced exerciser who is not quite getting the results desired.
