Anti Aging Physicians

Anti Aging PhysiciansAnti-Aging Medicine is the fastest growing field in medicine.  That’s good news as the first wave of Baby Boomers begin to retire and search for ways to achieve optimal health and enjoy their golden years. That has a created a need for anti aging physicians.

Please go to our physician directory at livelongstayyoung.com to see a list of physicians specializing in Anti-Aging and Age Management Medicine.

In addition, both the American Academy of Anti-Aging (A4M) and the Age Management Medicine Group (AMMG) provide a directory of Anti-Aging or Age Management physicians on their websites.

Nationwide medical practices that specialize in Anti-Aging and Age Management include Cenegenics Medical Institute and BodyLogicMD.  Each company has several practice locations throughout the United States.

Training of Anti Aging Physicians

Anti Aging Physicians represent all medical specialties.  Many are primary care physicians and come from fields like internal medicine, family medicine and ob-gyn.  Other physicians come from surgical fields like urology, general surgery, and even orthopedics and neurosurgery.

There is no training in Anti-Aging Medicine that is recognized or accredited by the American Council for Graduate Medical Education, but the American Academy of Anti-Aging does provide fellowship training in Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine.  In addition, Cenegenics Medical Institute offers physician training in Age Management Medicine.

Different Philosophy, Different Goals

Compared to physicians in conventional medicine, Anti-Aging physicians place more emphasis on prevention and promote the role of nutrition, nutritional supplements, and exercise in both preventing and treating disease.  Anti-Aging physicians also place more emphasis on restoring hormone levels to optimal levels and focus on treating the entire patient and addressing all their health needs.

Anti-Aging physicians strive to help their patients reach an optimal level of health, a goal that is frequently overlooked in conventional medicine.

Most physicians practicing Anti-Aging Medicine find the field more rewarding, as they are better able to provide individual and more detailed care to the patient than they could in conventional medicine.  Many services provided by Anti-Aging physicians are not covered by insurance, and many physicians practicing Anti-Aging Medicine do not accept insurance, or accept insurance only in limited situations, thus freeing them from third party interference and regulation.

Walking the Walk

Anti-Aging Physicians apply what they know and learn to their own health becoming excellent role models to their patients.  How refreshing!
