Anti Aging Clinic – Revisiting Your Youth

It must be like a time machine. After several visits to an anti aging clinic, you will look and feel as if you were transported back to the days when you were young and vibrant. Fine lines and wrinkles would have been eliminated, vigor restored, immune system boosted and diseases prevented or managed. You feel as if you are in your 20’s again. But to your disappointment, bell bottoms are still old school. Don’t worry. With the headway anti aging medicine is making, you may still be around when these flared trousers make a come back.

Anti Aging Clinic Services

With the many anti aging clinics germinating like senile warts, a hoary old fellow cannot help but be confused with where to go and what to expect. With so many possible applications that promise to reverse the hands of time, the services of anti aging clinics vary. Although various surgical and cosmetic procedures are still offered in some places claiming to be anti aging clinics, these emerging places of hope are past the era of Retin-A cosmetic creams, Botox and medical health clubs that provide laser-based cosmetic techniques and plastic surgery. This is because these clinics give more emphasis on thwarting the deterioration and death of the organs of the body, rather than focusing in making patients look younger. This is done through customized regimens of diet, megadoses of nutritional supplements and even controversial biologic treatments like the human growth hormone.

Customized Dietary Regimens. Many of these clinics often have in-house nutritionists who can plan your diet according to your body’s needs. They can teach you recipes of foods and drinks that are rich in antioxidants, vitamins, folic acid and other nutrients that your body needs to keep aging suspended. These diet plans are topped up with a medley of dietary supplements including antioxidant Vitamins C and E, DHEA, Omega-3, glucosamine, and many others. All these may be purchased from the anti aging clinic. However, critics claim that these supplements have not passed approval by the FDA.

Tailored Exercise. Exercise trainers may also be there to map out an exercise design specifically for your body’s needs.

Hormones. Women are no longer the only ones getting their dose of hormonal replacement therapy to address the symptoms of menopause. Men are now being informed that they also have their version of menopause – andropause. Treatment for this mid-life syndrome, such as testosterone, may also be available in the anti aging clinic.

Human Growth Hormone. Growth hormone is by far what makes anti aging clinics hot in the debating table. Advocates of anti aging medicine believe that HGH can help people to reach the age of 125. They are convinced that this hormone can strengthen the immune system, memory, cardiac function, muscle mass and others. While human growth hormone can be prescribed for individuals with growth hormone deficiency, its use is heavily regulated by the federal and some state laws.

No Shortage of Anti-Aging Clinics

In the last few years there has been an explosion in the building of anti-aging clinics throughout the  country.  Many of them are found in resort areas like Florida or in Southern California (Los Angeles and San Diego) and in affluent areas like Manhattan. But, if you live near a metropolitan market should be able to find an anti-aging clinic without any problem

While opposing schools of thought exchange arguments, the anti aging clinic continues to gain popularity, marketing the promise of reviving youth.
