Look Younger Without Surgery

look youngerDo You Want to Look Younger Without Surgery?

Most people want to, but many are willing to only go so far and spend so much to achieve a more youthful appearance. But, a great look may be possible without expensive surgery.  Gradually improved and innovative non-surgical techniques are being developed to enhance our looks with minimal risk and minimal damage to the pocketbook. Find out below how to look younger without surgery.

In this FoxNews video Dr. Manny interviews Dr. Luis Zapiach, a plastic surgeon on treatments available today that will enable you to attend your 35th high school reunion and not be embarrassed by the way you look.

Minimally Invasive Procedures to Look Younger

The minimally invasive procedures Dr. Zapiach mentioned in his interview include Botox®, Dysport™, Juvederm®, Restylane®, Radiesse®, Ultherapy®, laser skin resurfacing, and fat injections.

Dr. Zapiach mentions that for the treatment of fine wrinkles he most often uses Botox® and Dysport®. Both of these treatments relax facial muscles. Muscle contractions contribute to wrinkle and these treatments prevent muscle contractions. Botox® and Dysport® are temporary treatments with results being seen within 48 hours and lasting 3 to 4 months.

Juvederm®, and Restylane® are hyaluronic acid fillers that provide results for 6 months. Radiesse® is also a filler containing calcium hydroxly apatite microspheres suspended in carboxymethylcellulose gel. It not only fills wrinkles and provides volume but also stimulates the production of collagen, a key component of connective tissue. The results of Radiesse® can last 18 to 24 months.

Ultherapy® uses ultrasound technology and the body’s own healing process to tighten, tone, and lift the skin by stimulating collagen production. It does not provide near immediate results like the injectable fillers, but rather results are gradual and become noticeable after 2 to 3 months with ongoing improvement seen for months after.

All of these techniques discussed thus far provide temporary results.

Fat injections, however, can provide permanent results. Dr. Zapiach believes that fat injections in well-trained hands and in patients who have obtained good results with the temporary treatments can provide excellent results.

Lasers can remove age spots, treat wrinkles, and resurface the skin.

Many of these minimally invasive techniques to look younger can be combined with one another or more traditional surgery.

If the thought of a scapel to your face scares you then consider one of these mininmally invasive procedures to help you look younger. But, remember, it probably doesn’t make much sense to embark on these treatments if you are not going to eat healthy and get regular exercise. Some things do not allow for shortcuts.
